Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit Head, Suprapto said the river dredging was conducted along 500 meters with 13 meters wide, with the mud depth reaching up to one meter.

"This work has been underway since June 4, 2025," he expressed, Tuesday (9/16).

He explained, the dredging of mud has reached 1,300 cubic meters out of the target of 4,000 cubic meters of mud to be dredged, or 30 percent.

In a day, dredging involving two heavy equipment and six personnel can clear at least 10 dump trucks of mud, which are then disposed of in Ancol, North Jakarta.

"Hopefully, the river can function properly and reduce the potential for flooding," he explained.

This dredging work received appreciation from one of the residents, Rio Nugroho.

"I also urge residents not to throw garbage into the river because some of the waste settles, blocks the water flow, and eventually causes flooding," he stated.
